Robert Paul Green (born 18 January 1980) is an English former professional Association football, footballer who played as a goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. He played in the Premier League and Football League and for the England national football team, England national team. Green made his first-team debut for Norwich City F.C., Norwich City in 1999 and totalled 241 appearances across all competitions for them, making the PFA Team of the Year when they won the Football League First Division, First Division in 2003–04 Football League First Division, 2003–04. In 2006, he transferred to West Ham United F.C., West Ham United, making the same number of appearances in a six-year spell in which he was their Player of the Year in 2008 and won promotion via the Championship play-offs in 2012 Football League Championship play-off Final, 2012. Chertsey is a town in the Borough of Runnymede, Surrey, England, southwest of central London. It grew up around Chertsey Abbey, founded in AD 666 by Earconwald, St Erkenwald, and gained a municipal charter, market charter from Henry I of England, Henry I.
